Winning more rounds gives you the win. De La Hoya's poor finish against Tito wasn't enough for me to give the fight to Tito, just like DLH's good finish against Ike wasn't enough for me to give the fight to DLH in that bout.

The championship rounds are worth the same as any other two rounds.

Just watched it again, same score I have always had when I watch this fight. 113-112 for Quartey.

      1 - ike
      2 - ike
      3 - oscar
      4 - oscar
      5 - ike
      6 - ike (9-8)
      7 - ike
      8 - oscar
      9 - ike
      10 - oscar
      11 - ike
      12 - oscar (10-8)

Oscar was often hesitant and missed many punches when throwing in combination. I thought Ike landed the better punches throughout rounds 1-11 and controlled the fight up until that final round.

Not a robbery as it was a close fight, but the decision should have been awarded to Quartey in my opinion.

I thought Ike won it, at the time I was very annoyed with Oscar's interview after the fight Ike deserved a rematch and Oscar wouldn’t give him one. Ike shouldn’t have had so much inactivity it cost him imo.

Didn't Oscar land like 150 more punches than Tito?

Bumping this because I just rewatched it and had it 114-113 De La Hoya. Round 11 was the swing round...

Quartey looked pretty good, but got off to a slow start and a horrible end in where he pretty much gave away the fight by not throwing enough. The right hand Quartey landed in Round 9 has to be one of the sickest right hands I've ever seen. Don't know how Oscar took that.
