Former welterweight champion Ike Quartey has withdrawn from his comeback bout that was scheduled for December 5 at the Carousel Casino in Gauteng, South Africa. Quartey was set to fight Tshepo Mashego in a middleweight contest. Quartey has been inactive since a December 2006 decision loss to Winky Wright. [details]

I wasn't even aware he was scheduled to return. I hope it isn't about money. Ike is a great fighter and to see him go out the way he did against Winky was disheartening. -
