He is improving little by little with every fight it seems and as a welterweight the man has certain physical advantages which make him very formidable for most anyone. The kid has grown on me and he always comes to give it his all providing lots of action. But from 154 to 160 there are a number of guys who could potentially rain on his parade.
Alfredo Angulo,James Kirkland-big power and punching machines although too green at this stage
Sergio Martinez very much like Quintana but with more pop polish and speed.
Cory Stinks Spinks- could box his way to an ugly win
Daniel Santos- speed and some power to go along wth a heap of experience
Vernon Forrest- his biggest problem would be gassing under Williams onslaught of pressure
Oscar De La Hoya- yeah I had to do it!
all of those guys have power and ability that Williams has yet to experience.
at middle weight I see Williams really having to commit to changing his physiology to have a chance to hang with top dawgs but he could beat a lot of the top contenders.
Unless he turns into a full fledged middle weight soon I see no point in even discussing fights with him above 160.
agree?
