Next for Paul Williams?

okay obviously there's been lots of Williams threads being made

but here's an opinion one on what do you see being his next fight?

for those who don't know Williams won back his WBO Welterweight title in June vs Quintana

fought at Middleweight in September vs Andy Kolle and knocked him out in one round.

and just last night beat Verno Phillips at 154 for the WBO interim title

along the way Paul had to vacate his 147 title.

so what do you see in the immediate future of Williams?

does he target the full WBO champ? or try to get a fight vs WBC belt holder Vernon Forrest

Williams also talked about fighting at Super Middle .. when do you see him going there

lot of options out there for Paul. what do you think he does?

Whatever he does, a lot of hate will follow.
I think he should stay at 154, and try to unify, honestly.

well with Berto seemingly lining up for a defense with Collazo

and Margarito facing Mosley .. with that Cotto rematch looming even if Mag doesn't beat Mosley

Joshua Clottey seems like the only big name at 147 Williams can face


so considering those factors, yeah I think Williams should stay at 154 for the time being.

I would like to see Williams-Santos in 154, I like them both but I gotta support Santos (after he defends his title in Japan). I think this would be a good fight for Williams because Santos is a good fighter and if he wins. There would be good money is a Vernon fight. If Santos wins he will get the good money fight he says he has been waiting his whole life for... what do you think?
