floyd has done everything oscar has except for fight at the middleweight division and if you look at oscar and floyd oscar is clearly a bigger man than floydComment

Oscar took few or no risks. Vargas was finished after Trinidad, the whole world knows he lost ot Sturm, who had no punch, (except you), Trinidad beat him, Castillejo was on the very downgrade, and he lost to Hopkins, supposedly an old man..... YES HE TOOK RISKS, ....but he didn't know they were risks.
From the time he fought Trinidad, everything went awry for Oscar, all his "brains-trusting" did him no good.
Oscar always fought those he felt sure of beating and always had "perks" and goodies. From Trinidad on, they rarely worked. He wanted to give a good fight, with minimal risk..........Comment

Yes and the only reason he fought Trinidad.. one of the best fighters of our time was???Comment

How is fighting Hopkins (not knowing) the risk? Your pathetic.. I didn't say he won did I? I said he took the risk of fighting them. What difference does it make if Sturm doesn't have power?? I never said he did, did I? He is a good fighter though. And Vargas done after Trinidad?? lol That's why he put up a good fight against Oscar right? Your full of excuses.
(1) Even Oscar said himself that he felt Bernard was showing signs of age and was ripe for the taking. In other words he pulled off a Sugar Ray when he saw Hagler showing signs of his age.
(2) Vargas looked horrbile after being brutally destroyed by the overrated Cheato. He was knocked down to a feather fisted Rivera and wobbled by an ex-sparring partner.Even the HBO commentators weren't convinced that Vargas was "back" and the Vargas of old.
(3) Only reason Vargas put up a "good' fight against Oscar was steroids and the fact that Oscar himself has always been overrated in terms of skills. He went life and death was a shot Vargas.Comment

Because he knew Cheato was killing himself to make 147 and was near the end in the WW division so of course Oscar did what's best for the sport and fill his pockets with $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. It had nothing to do with his bull**** theory of "legacy".Comment

Oscar De La Hoya thinks highly of Floyd Mayweather Jr. as a fighter and thinks highly of his physical skills. What De La Hoya questions is the heart of Mayweather Jr. De La Hoya, who lost a decision to Mayweather last year, was scheduled to fight him in a rematch this past September. In shocking blow to De La Hoya, Mayweather announced his retirement in June - crushing a fight that was being hyped by De La Hoya and HBO since the start of the year and leaving De La Hoya with few options.
