I would love to see Paul hire Manny Steward. There are certain fighters that you can argue that Manny hasn't meshed well with (i.e. Jermaine Taylor and Prince Naseem Hamed), but Paul would certainly be a Steward kind of fighter. He could help him to fight taller, utilize his jab better/straight left better so he doesn't get hit with shots like he did tonight, and also to correct some of the sloppiness that you see Paul still having. Granted he has a very solid chin it seems so far, but I think he could be alot better as far as reaching his ultimate potential under Steward's guidance imo.

He seems to be doing OK with his current trainer but yes, Williams is Steward's type of fighter, he knows how to maximise tall, lanky fighters' potential.

paul's advantage-great reach, natural physical advantages, power, and the ability to fight inside despite his height.

disadvantages-he can hardly move .since he can fight inside, not much of a problem yet, but he'd be at a disadvantage against in fighters like clottey. it'd be beneficial if he could move when necessary to be able to use his reach.

he's not agile. he's a simple one two puncher, not good at combos, doubling up on punches etc. he did good work against phillips with the body punches, but he almost never hit phillip's head. it was too predictable and easy to see coming.

perhaps manny can work on that stuff a little bit.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Steward is good with tall fighters, but they don't seem to know how to clinch when hurt. Williams and Steward would be an ok match, but again, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

i hope williams stays away from steward.. Stew is an overrated trainer imo and is not really that good.. he definately wont help williams improve his defense.. his commentating sucks too, he's a flip flop always going back on what he says.. williams would be better off with who he has now
