Super-Middleweight.........
So at first I laugh, then I think about it. The guy stands at 6"1' and has a reach of 82' and with the right gameplan I think he can pull it off. I've always said Margarito will beat him in the re-match, if that rematch ever occurs, in my opinion but there are fighters at Super Middleweight I can see him beating.
Jeff Lacy- I think pull can keep him at bay with him jab. Paul can definetly take a good shot as we saw in the first Margarito fight and I think his power is traveling with him.
Jermain Taylor- Again the key for Williams at any weight class is to fight tall and use that jab. I think he pulls off a win against Jermain as well, even thought I look at this as a pick em' fight, I think with the jab and the consitant pressure he will put on Jermain he can pull off a victory via decision
Kessler- Even thought Paul takes good punches I don't believe he can take Kesslers. Yet, again, if he keeps Kessler at bay with his 82' jab I think he'll have a chance of outworking Kessler. Still if I had to pick today, I'd go with Kessler because his power is far superior.
That a list to name a few but my point is at first it's ludicris to think a former welterweight can move all the way up to super middleweight and have any kind of success. Yet if we sit back and think about it, Paul William already has a Super Middle frame, if not Light Heavy, so he just needs to get the gameplan right for each unique opponent he faces.
