I hope you're not comparing Verno Phillips to Andy Kolle. Even an old Verno Phillips.
no man i wasnt...even if it might look like. I know Verno is a schooled veteran who fought very good opposition, he's no Kolle. But still, at 154, Paul is a freak with his height, reach, activity, and maybe even power.

yeah but verno is a proven vet.

I think this fight could go 12.

Let the record show that Verno Phillips is 39 years old. So when those same ******s that claim that Joe Calzaghe and Ricky Hatton pick on old age pensioners herald Williams as an all time great we can all point and laugh.
Hopkins is 43 and Jones is 39. They are the biggest wins on Calzaghe's record.

But then Hopkins comes around and beats Pavlik and shows that youth is no substitution for knowing how to fight.

Verno Phillips beat the recognized man in the division, Cory Spinks, so he has a belt. What do you want him to do, turn down the world title opportunity?

Shane Mosley isn't going to fight him. Antonio Margarito isn't going to fight him. Andre Berto isn't going to fight him.

What do you want the man to do, just not fight?
