Hell no it wasn't, if you weren't blind and looked at the gif image both of them clash heads around the eye area for both of them. Why would Calzaghe risk getting his own eye cut open? This whole topic makes no sense.

Roy was either hooking or trying to hold, you can see that it was Roys right hand pulling Calz in. Thats what brought Calz towards him.

I agree it is not intentional. Joes head is straight up much like Roy's. When a fighter comes in to intentionally head butt he usually is facing the canvas with his head down so the top of his head hits the brow or the forehaed chin face of the other guy. It is know that the top of the head is much harder then the brow or forehead....Lefty
