I'll have to watch the fight again to see the full picture, but based on the .gif ONLY, it does look intentional; it appears aimed/guided, and his head totally precedes his punch.

i'm not sure if it was an intentional headbutt or if he was trying to do that taunt where he put his hands down and pushes his face up to Roy's but flopped it
