Oh ****.... this is not good news.Moments ago Paul Williams and Verno Phillips made weight for their junior middleweight clash on HBO tomorrow night. Williams tipped the scales at 153 1/2 lbs. Phillips 154lbs.
Heavyweight Chris Arreola came in at 254 lbs, his opponent Travis Walker weighed in at 231 lbs.Comment

4 1/2 lbs less than his last fight and it is the day after Thanksgiving. Might be good enough to beat Travis Walker, but damn, Chris is going to have to get serious if he wants to be competitive at the top.Comment

Yeah I would rather see him at 135-140 range. He fought Witherspoon at 139 and Macolm Tann at 135 and he looked really good in both fights. Im a fan of his and I hope when he gets a big fight that he comes in at a better weight for him. 154 is a little much.Comment

22222222222222222. Yeah I'm trying my best to root for Arreola. He keeps his hands up, but isn't afraid to trade and has decent power. But after 300 and some amateur fights, he still looks like an am out there and doesn't seem to train seriously enough to be effective in the later rounds. He's only been past 7 once which is fine when you're blowing out tomato cans in the first round (of which he has 10,) but it isn't going to cut it against good comp, maybe not even against Walker.Comment
