high risk...little reward...cant see williams making 147 too long...dont think he'll do much after that...especially with guys making their names at 154...at 147 though hes pretty good...

what the **** has paul williams done other than winning a close fight with margarito?
koing quintana? the only reason that was such a big thing was because quintana beat him the 1st time. lol

paul williams is nothing special. he has okay skills and a very big for his weight class that's about it.

the only reason he's rated so highly is because of margarito's win over cotto.
      It wasn't close.

The second half of the fight definitely was. Williams looked like he was outta there in the 10th or 11th, I forget.

Dude was the biggest problem.. I kno that... I just respect his skill enough to have him in my sig... As he ducked and basically started most of this ****. You still have to respect his trait hate him or not. That doesnt asnwer my question im asking tho...... You need to realize this is what is killing this sport, instead of trying to take shots "insult me" threw a computer

Nice to See Max Agreeing with me.....

Seriosuly have you seen a guy get ducked this much since mike tyson... Have you ever seen a non heavyweight like this get ducked so bad before?????

Imagine if Hagler & Hearns were fighting in this era. I would feel so bad for them they would never get a fight...

Boxing is & has been dying a slow death and this is one of the biggest reason. Because fighters are not fighting the best their is.................

I like boxing more then mma or any sport, but the TS is right. This is the **** that kills boxing. You have clowns like this Tua ****rider on here pretending to be psychics and predicting careers. Clearly bitter their fat, slob HW they obsess with is the only after thought. Anyways, Paul Williams is extremely special. He's one of the few boxers since the Hagler era that will fight anybody within 3 weight classes and legitimately mean it. He's is big, long as Ali, fast, has a granite chin and can throw over 100 punches a round. His volume bested Margarito's. Now he's sitting on punches destroying guys.

People bring up his loss. Williams has no amateur career, he's still green. He's learning as a pro. It was bound to happen, and it's comical Quintana figured a way and Margarito couldn't. Needless to say, the loss was erased with a first round demolition job of a guy Cotto couldn't hurt to the head.

He moved up two weight classes and knocked out a guy that had never been hurt, in one round. He is now fighting another ducked fighter, Verno Phillips. Forrest would rather lose to Mora then fight Phillips. He hasn't been down since 1988, is very gritty, smart, and has the experience Williams lacks.

Clottey, Cotto, Jennings, Margarito, Mosley and Berto were all offered this date. All said no. Support boxing not man-crushes on people you will never personally know. Kessler won't fight in the US. Williams will go to wherever the **** the WBO 154 champ lives and fight him there.
Get your **** straight Clottey never declined. Cotto just lost as well, why would he want to fight Williams this early?
