That's right.

The man retired because he didn't want to make any of these fights. What's the point in calling him out when there are so many other fights to be made, when he announces the desire to return then guys will begin calling him out. Until then, the welters will do their thing, culminating in Margarito VS Williams in late 09. Fingers crossed.

Exactly...Boxing is a business as much as it is a sport and this re-match needs to be built up. P-Will is COMPLETELY unknown to casual fans while Margo is finally starting to get that recognition. This fight could be built into a fight that could draw 20K in stapes center no need to rush it eventually it will happen. You CLOWNS that say Margo is scared are FOOLS. He fought P-Will the first time when he didn't have to and after sparring with the man if he was scared why would he fight him the 1st time then? I am probably in the minority here, but I'd like this fight down the road. Perhaps early 2010 if PWill is still at WW. Both guys have other unfinished business.

If they each put in three wins in 09 (we'll say two for PWill cause he is fighting late 08) then imagine this

TKO7 Cotto in June
MD12 Clottey in September

Williams:
UD12 Phillips in November '08
UD12 Quintana in April
KO8 Andre Berto in August

Then they meet in December '09 or January '10? That sounds like a good plan to me. Wishful thinking, but whatever.

Their records going in would be 40-5 (29) for Margarito and 38-1 (27) for Williams.
