      Yeah, you're right to exclude them. Both Hopkins and Tarver boxed as kids, then stopped, then went back to boxing.

      Tarver was a hell of an amateur.

        for me qwai takes some beating steps right out of jail at 25 and goes to joe fraizer's gym a month later turns pro, end up a 2 weight world champion didnt even fight amature.

          Marciano retired as the unbeaten heavyweight champion. No other fighter in history has done that. The answer to this poll couldn't be more obvious.
