Hattons win over Paulie good for Mayweathers legacy?

Just as Hopkins obliteration of Pavlik makes Calzaghes win sweeter.

Not really, It only proved to some idiots that Hatton was a good fighter.

People with eyes and brains already knew that.

Mayweather has better wins than Little Richard on his resume. It's a good not great win.

What happens after a fight counts for nothing. There are so many unforseen circumstances that can happen after fights to make a fighter either better or worse. I mean in this instance Hatton has become a much better fighter since losing to Floyd under the coaching of Mayweather Sr. Only thing that counts in valuing a victory is the resume before the fight.

Hopkins beating Pavlik didnt make Calzaghes resume better. Calzaghe beating Hopkins made Calzaghes resume better.

Well it has to, yes. After a fighter loses there are always people quick to provide excuses like he's shot, not a natural 147 fighter etc but Hatton beating Paulie proved he is not shot much in the same way Hopkins beating Pavlik proved he isn't shot.

Yes, the win over Paulie showed Hatton is definitely not "shot".
