Olympic Gold winner Sarsekbayev turning pro!

Watching the Olympics this year, except for Lomachenko I was most impressed by Bakhyt Sarsekbayev, who won the Gold Medal at welterweight.

    From *********:

2007 Russian promoter of the year German Titov is one step from signing a deal with 2008 Beijing welterweight gold medalist Bakhyt Sarsekbayev, 27, of Kazakhstan. On Nov. 22 Titov, clearly Russia’s most active boxing personality, was to fly over to Almaty to discuss details with Sarsekbayev and his representatives personally. "I spoke with Bakhyt by phone and he said he is ready to turn pro. I am not obliged to reveal any details before an official announcement," said Titov to Megapolis Kazakh Daily. "I foresee a bright future ahead for him. He possesses a world champion potential, though he needs to learn some tricks about pro boxing first."

    27? he's not young. I can't remember him.

My favourites were the Ukranians Lomachenko, Usyk, some tall Mongolian at the lighter weights whose name always escapes me also Irelands Darren Sutherland was another good un' he's turned pro already and is suited to the pro's.

I really like Usyk, what's up with him Tunney, he could be a decent Cruiserweight/

I haven't heard anything about Usyk since he was robbed by the judges. You're right, he'd make a top cruiserweight.

Vasyl Lomachenko has the most potential of any Olympian - it would be a terrible waste for him to remain as an amateur.
