don't be fooled weight plays a big factor!
I know that it dose play a big factor what i was pointing out on his post is that people buy to much into this walk around weight as being their natural weight. I think that a natural weight is when some one is fit.

Get used to it. It happens all the time.

Also is it true that Williams only rehydrated for 156 for the second quintana fight? If so, that's ****ing crazy.

we're still trying to figure out the point of this ****** thread. HBO has stopped weighing cotto for some time now. He came any from 155-160 at jr ww, he is now at ww so it's only reasonable that he is at 160+ on fight nights at ww. This thread is pointless. Especially when your a fan of pwill, you're just making a hypocrite of yourself. You could hbo and get some weights for cotto and margarito. I can tell you margarito when he fought santos at 154 only weighed in at 160 on fight night. So it's safe to assume at ww his fight night weight is at 155ish like it has been. Margarito doesnt kill himself to make weight and doesn gain 20 lbs like williams does on fight night.

It's an interesting subject, actually. IMO, probably the best indicator of a fighter's natural fighting weight is the weight class that he best performs in. Ie..Clearly Hatton's natural fighting weight is 140 (JrWW), in spite of the fact that he, allegedly, walks around as a fat guy. I'm not sure "walking around" weight is very relevant except to say it can make a difference in some fights. Ie..Gatti seemed to have an advantage over many of his smaller opponents during his extremely weight drained run. But, a fighter's best weight class is also based on other things like reach and height. I haven't reviewed the stats on Pacquiao and DeLaHoya lately, but I'm pretty sure that Oscar will have a big advantage in height and reach. Pacquiao's best hope is that Oscar will show his age and/or lose some power by losing so much weight. It's a very complicated issue.
