If Floyd in 2009 beat Margo, Paul Williams, and Cotto..

The question: If "Pretty Boy" Floyd, aka Money Mayweather were to come back in 2009 and fight against:

Paul Williams in February or March 2009,

Margarito in June 2009,

Cotto in September 2009,

[after an agreement with the Cotto's camp that Margo vs Cotto would be delayed until late 2009, in exchange for Mayweather fighting Cotto in September (Floyd would have to win against Margo)] -

and he wins all 3 fights, would he be proclaimed greater then Hearns, Leonard, and Duran?

And if not, would he be considered just as great as those fighters?

Can he beat all 3 fighters in the same year?

Lastly, if he could, would he be deemed the best fighter of recent history by the people on this website? I have a hunch that people would still hate on him, saying he did not fight Clottey and Sugar Shane Mosely....Discuss!!!!

(p.s. I think Floyd could beat them all, but it would mean that he would have to re-retire, because he would be bloody and beaten up pretty bad after the year)

Floyd can't beat all of them, he is too little for all of them. What a weird topic title, and he definitely couldn't beat pwills.

Why is it a weird title? Is he too little to beath Cotto? They are the same, if not very close in physical attributes. And why is he too small for Margo? Maybe you have a point with P-will, but look at what Quintana did to him. Yes, an off night, but as many said, Quintana did some good things too against P-Will.

I still think Floyd could beat all three, if not in the same year, then within 2 years

I think Money May can beat Margo because of his speed and boxing skills but against the other two... I would put my money on Cotto and Williams, I think they are the only two guys in WW that can beat Mayweather.

According to Roger, Williams is the hardest. He didn't seem to keen on Williams being allowed to fight at 147 because of his size.

I agree, Cotto would be a classic, and he would be chasing down Floyd, but in the end, floyd could outbox him, he can pick apart Cotto whereas Mosley could not. Mosely is really a brawler, he is not a pure boxer.

Williams doesn't have great boxing skill? I don't know, he looked impressive against Margo, he really displayed some great skill holding, jabbing, circling Margo to take the decision. Its another thing with Floyd though, he will need to corner him and beat him down. His power would be full though because it would be at 147.

I guess only in my dreams would Floyd step up and do that, but I think the ability is there, we know he lacks the desire or else he would have done it, maybe also is is lacking heart..
