Do wins not count anymore?

If just fighting and losing to someone means you have a great resume, does that mean that wins aren't weighed as much as they used to?

there are alot of boxers who have been spoon fed opponents. but i see wat u saying, oscar de la hoya is a good example he's lost a lot of big fights, but still is involves with the most popular matches. i don't agree with that but he is much better than me so i dont like to critize.
