Berto-Collazo Coming Along, Mora Turns Down Martinez

2009 is shaping up to be a good year for boxing. With Antonio Margarito-Shane Mosley going on 1/24, a possible Vic Darchinyan-Jorge Arce clash on 2/7, Alfredo Angulo-Ricardo Mayorga + Nate Campbell-Ali Funeka on 2/14 and a possible Miguel Cotto/Kelly Pavlik doubleheader on 2/21 - the hits just keep on coming. Lol Sergio Moron. I like it.

Also 1/17 is great, especially if it replaces Duddy-Hearns. Though 1/31 might give more time for Forrest-Martinez.

So Martinez/Mora was the backup plan if Forrest vacates and does not fight Martinez? Who is Forrest going to fight then? And Mora who is he trying target?

Mora turned down the fight simply because he doesn't want to get beat up. Based upon what I saw in Martinez's last fight, he would KO Mora. Who else is Mora going to fight?

I think Mora is still trying to get the Forrest rematch

Mora is really picky over his fights, pretty hard fight especailly coming off that one sided loss to Forrest he might feel like he needs a confindence fight back before having another big showdown.

Glad to see that Berto/Collazo is taking shape. You can never count out Luis Collazo so it's a good fight for AB.

More is just and idiot. His own intelligence and philosophy outside the ring hinder his potential of paydays in the ring. He really isn't out smarting anyone, he's just pissing people off.

I have to agree. Martinez is a serious badass and would school Mora. I would not be thrilled to fight him either.
