Carlos "El Indio" Quintana not afraid of anybody

Carlos Quintana former WBO champion would like to get in the ring with Miguel Cotto if he wins against Michael Jennings but if he can not get a fight with Cotto, he would like to fight the winner of Cotto vs Margarito. El Indio wants to come out strong for 2009. He will be fighting Ermosele Albert with a record de 21-2-1 10ko on ESPN2 Jan. 16. He would like to get another championship in 147 or 154 pounds. He stated that if he has to look for Paul Williams in 154 or 147, he will be willing to fight. Also he spoke about fighting agaisnt Daniel Santos. He says he is willing to fight him if there is nobody else to fight.

Oh really? I recall a post fight interview after he won I think it was the Paul Williams fight they asked him what was next to him if he wanted to avenge his loss to Cotto and he was like "Uhh what? Cotto? No No" and shook his head, Anyone have the video of that?

It wasn't as bad as people generally think. Quintana won at LEAST 2 rounds, you could argue 3 in that fight before Cotto hit a kidney shot. Cotto hit Quintana with virtually the same punch that Hopkins KO'd Oscar with. After that it was curtains, but it was a close fight.

If they fight again and Cotto doesn't land a perfect body shot, it will be very competitive again.

Quintana is just like Margarito as in he isn't afraid of anyone, but he still needs his money. I remember him negotiating and stalling the Williams fights for more money. Granted he deserved it, but still.

Quintana is very underrated. He schooled Joel Julio, schooled Williams and Won 3 of the 5 rounds that lasted his fight with Cotto. He deserves another chance. He desrves a crack at Williams or Clottey!!!!

I'd like to see Quintana in there with Cintron, Berto, and Clottey before the Big3 WW.

People only remember the last two rounds of the Cotto fight and forget that Quintana was doing very well and had won 2-3 rounds. Even on the official cards! Very good fighter.
