Does the glove really make a difference in a fight?

I've used both Winning and Reyes...

Winning has added padding...

Reyes has less padding and has tighter stitching, dubbing it "the punchers glove"...

I never really noticed any bold differences between the two, at least not enough to consider it a major deciding factor in a bout...

Is glove choice a very important element like some fighters make it out to be?

I would especially like to hear from those who have used these particular brands or even other and at least sparred enough to compare.
