Simple question, which trainer is better; Roger Mayweather or Floyd Mayweather Sr and why ?

To me Floyd Sr, the reason because he is more proven, he created Mayweather while Roger so followed his footsteps after the parted ways, Sr has trained more fighters and has been succesfull with most of them, Apart from Floyd, Uncle Roger dosent really have another good fighter in his resume. -

sr. he is the one who made floyd, andhas has good success with other fighters. roger has floyd who was already for the most part molded by the time he stepped in.Comment

It really depends on what you are looking for. Sr. is a more of a defensive trainer so he will get your defense tight if you work with him long enough. Sr. seems to be very good at telling his fighters what punches to throw off of certain defensive movements. Roger actually got PBF to be more offensive especially at the lower weights and if you listen to Roger in between rounds he is damn near always telling PBF to be more offensive and open up. But at the sametime Roger is very good at that Mayweather style of defense also. So you can't really say who is better IMO.Comment

Roger has trained a few fighters,
nobody big though.
Roger was never really able to train any fighters due to floyd constantly threating to fire him if he did!
Roger was always busy with floyd aswell,
from the start of floyds career upto the de la hoya fight,
Floyd was always active.Comment

I talked to Adrian Gonzalez, who's the son of Lee Beard, and he's currently being trained by Floyd, Sr. He also trained with Roger Mayweather for a brief time, and he said he chose Floyd, Sr. because in his eyes he was a much more polished trainer.
