Winky's style was never really appealing to the masses. Folks like you and I sure, we like to see defensive wizardry but not that average folk. He is also no "spring chicken" as they say. To have a 17-month layoff and come back with injury is probably difficult at this stage in his career.

Honestly, it wouldn't bother me not to see him fight again. I don't think that him fighting Michi Munoz, probably winning by late round stoppage or a decision, warrants a date on HBO. Certainly, not head lining a card on HBO. Thos are the boring fights that people tune in to see because of a name, only to get disappointed over bad matchmaking and stylistic differences.

Winky Wright gave us boxing fans a lot to cheer about. But I think those days have been over.

probably one of the most underrated fighters in history and definitely the most ducked.. what will hurt winky now is inactivity. when fighters are inactive, especially at an advanced age, injuries start to become a problem..the longer he is out, the worst he is going to look in the ring.
