By Cliff Rold - It’s sort of a ‘calm before the storm’ sort of week in Boxing. Next week, the sport will see a flurry of activity and not just in the big Vegas show (get your Tecate coupons now!). Calm doesn’t mean serene. There will be still be ripples in Lake Fistic, the most prominent among them with the chance to alter the race for Fighter of the Year. [details]

Williams, like Ouma, is a fighter on the rise?
Sorry to disagree but Ouma's comeback attempts have been almost embarrassing and I'd be surprised to see him fight for a title again. He just doesn't look like he's got it in him anymore.
Williams on the other hand has been achieving everything he can given the politics of boxing that are restraining his career. I hope the skies will part after the Phillips fight and P-Will will be able to command fights instead of having to beg the establishment to fight him even though he's worthy to fight with any top dog.Comment

Gotcha, I should have figured I was misunderstanding something.
I really like these picks of the week columns, too bad their will soon be much less material to choose from as far as U.S. television is concerned.
Thanks for the responseComment
