i always thought after a knock down the referee has to make sure the other boxer has gone to the mutual corner before he starts his count. In the fight with calzaghe Jones the referee ushers Jones to his respected corner then starts his count from 4 I’m just an amateur fan, could someone please clarify this for me the rules

The rules state that the boxer has to go to the furthest neutral corner while the referee is administering the count, the referee picks up the count from an official at ringside who starts counting once the boxer's hands or knees hit the canvas.

Thank you, for your response, i just noticed a guy out side the rind (who was sitting next to the woman who is teh incharge of new York boxing)showing a calming signal to whoever was the Official At Ringside giving the count just curious to the rules no need for hostilities
