I'd choose Bhop, cos I suspect he's probably the only one that might know how to shoot a gun.

Remember to consider important traits.. physical size/strength, personality(don't want to be bored to tears), trust.. I'm sure there are others.

        Poll to follow!
Klitschko.. because he is big.. and therefore more likely to shield me from shrapnel and bullets..

You chose Hopkins - do you really think a man who used to steal old ladies purses, and uses every illegal trick in the ring - a man who is prejudiced against white people - would try to save you if you were wounded?

Joe never moved up to face Roy in his prime and then fought him when he was a shot fighter. After the fight, he went around saying how he just beat a "legend" but forgot to mention that the legend had died years ago; as well as forgetting what he said prior to the Tito fight about how Roy was not the same fighter.

There was a good comment made by one of the British boxing writers:

          Watch the beginning.

Terry Downes was Humble, similar to the way Marciano was for Louis, Holmes was for Ali, Tyson was for Holmes, and Danny Williams for Tyson.

Other than that, besides the possibility of acting like Hopkins was suddenly back in his prime when he {Joe} previously ripped him before the fight by saying he had lost to Taylor twice and was past it; I have no problem

Hopkins never stole old ladies purses; not that I know of. Tyson however did.

The main people Hopkins robbed from were gangstas...why? Because they can't go to the Cops.

Hopkins changed his life by the way; at least it seems that way.

The list wasn't that great anyway. I said I would pick Gene Tunney...but he wasn't on the list and of course, he's not alive.

Yup. Kassim was kidnapped and made into a child-soldier. When fighters talk about how they are "killers" but never killed; Kassim actually killed people...but not in a good way and it's a messed up story.

Serving a boxer with poll sounds a little too gay for my taste.

Wlad would be the most interesting to chat too given his large intellect, I'd have to remember not to turn my back on him though.

interesting poll. I like it. but you people have weird choices for who you would choose.

I would pick Wladimir, the guy is really smart. I believe he has a degree in sports science, right? its sort of medical...if anyone was injured, Im sure he would be able to help out at least somewhat, since he has a good amount of knowledge when it comes to the human body. his strength would come in handy every once in a while, the only problem is how huge the guy is. he would be a wonderfully big target. I would get used to the accent after a while, and even if I didnt, Im not one who expects a lot of talking anyway. as long as hes a nice fellow, and Wlad does seem like that.

now if this was a foxhole in the middle east, I would easily pick Pacquiao. he at least looks somewhat like an arab(a stretch, but if he was bundled up and grew a beard he would be more convincing that anyone else on the list) so he would be able to converse with any arab towns to pick up goods or information without being a prime target or attracting too much attention. he also is nice and small, but at the same time would be very quick on his feet and have quick reactions. thats always a plus on the battlefield, because he would be able to hide and run around easier and wouldnt be as likely to die. plus, hes the smallest guy on the list and would hopefully eat/drink the least, making our rations last longer. also, he grew up in poverty, so he probebly knows some fairly useful survival tricks and wouldnt go crazy in the battlefield(because hes used to bad situations to a degree). the language barrier would be a pain tho.

Im surprised Im the only one whos thought along these lines.

its pretty much a list of active, top popular fighters. all time choices would be a really cool poll, but there would have to be real good guys on the poll to begin with or it would be ruined.

...funny they didnt put De La Hoya on the list. hehe. wonder why...? heh.
he would probebly cheat and buy the opposing army.

just curious, why would yall choose Margarito?
