Baby showers have totally evolved. I went to one for my cousin about 3 months ago, and the set up was great. the women were inside the house playing the games and all that bull, and the men were outside on the patio, there was a keg, there was a taquero (not sure if anybody outside the west coast is familiar with them) and there was a TV that was playing Mexican league soccer and then some baseball game at night (no boxing card that night). It was definitley bareable.

well yeah, that's what I mean.. that's what we do. we get together and go off somewhere and do something else.
It almost always envolves beer and hot wings or some carne asada with a poker game, or pool or just watching the game.
