Why no credit for Floyd Sr

Apart from Ricky himself not too many British commentators are giving Floyd any credit.

On fight night the Sky panel was pathetic. One was asked how much credit he gave to Floyd and said he gave all to Ricky Hatton. They all claimed this was Ricky's best performance in a very long time.Honestly had Ricky been hitting pillows on Billy's sbody would he have beaten Malignaggi that way?

I dont know who trained Mathew but I suspect Floyd had a part.Mathew has been a punchbag of late but surely he fought well this time.

I have read a lot of articles in the British press and they dont seem to give Floyd credit generally. Can anyone explain

I give it all to Ricky. Why? He didn't look much different in their from any other of his fights.
Didn't look like he learned anything new.

What we saw on Saturday was pretty much the same Ricky Hatton prior to being trained by Floyd Sr. Even Jim Lampley said it. " I dont know if Floyd Sr has done anything to help Ricky, but he certaintly hasnt done anything to hurt him" Personally i didnt see any change in Ricky's fighting style. He still lunges in to punch with his face open. Only thing i noticed was that he didnt hold as much. I doubt he needed Floyd to teach him that.

I don't get why Floyd Sr isn't getting some props either..! Hatton used his faints better, got rid of his habit of constant clinching and all in all fought a better fight. Floyd Sr did an excellent job.

Trainers get TOO much credit when a fighter wins.. and take too much stick when a fighter loses..

It's up to the men in the ring..They deserve all the credit and criticism..

Well then hopefully they don't expect him to beat Floyd Jr. and should never talk about that fight unless they are hoping to catch Floyd 1 year from now and pay him big bucks to come out of retirement. Make sure it is a full two years that Floyd is out of the ring and make sure he has no tune-ups. With age, rust, and Ricky's Uncle as ref; there might be a slight chance Ricky pulls off a win.

Other than that, beating Paulie means nothing in terms of a potential win over Pretty Boy Floyd Mayweather.

True, the majority of the accolade should go to the fighter, however; some trainers do make a Good Fighter "Very Good" and a Very Good Fighter "Great."

before i give Senior and props, i would like for Ricky to conduct a test first:

have Senior ramble on a bunch of instructions and i want Ricky to repeat them and tell us what they mean

if he repeats at least 70% of the instructions, then i give props
