Well perhaps his brittle hands did affect him psychologically. I know from being injury prone myself, it is very discouraging when you are constantly getting hurt.
That said, Hatton still would have won. And another thing, How the hell did Paulie do that to Hatton's eye?Comment

Hatton still may have won, but I wished the Malignaggi before the injuries/mental issues showed up like he did against Cotto. Can you imagine how good this fight would have been if Paulie fought like that and threw his right more often.Well perhaps his brittle hands did affect him psychologically. I feel you but here's the thing: Paulie was good in the Cotto fight in the rounds were Cotto just seemed to be sleeping out there and not throwing much and not being agressive. He might have been weight drained. In the rounds were Cotto got serious and agressive, Paulie couldnt do much. Hatton, unlike Cotto in the Paulie fight, never took a break for a second, henceforth he couldn't do much. Just my opinion.Comment

Hatton is a bad style match-up for Paulie. There is pressure, and there is what Hatton does. If you can't hurt him, you're in trouble, unless you're a super special talent and can roll and negate Ricky on the inside.Comment

I just fail to see what part of Ricky timing him and hitting him with lead right hands and even uppercuts that are set up on the inside from round 2 onward had to do with Paulie hurt hands.
Even with fresh hands Ricky still lands those shots.Comment

yeah inside paulie couldn't win that battle that why he may have held. but one the outside with his distance a couple times when he followed the jab with a right it caught hatton.Comment
