Hatton won solely because of Mayweather Sr

If Hatton was training under his old trainer he would have lost. His style would have worked in Paulie favours. Paulie was still hitting Hatton with some clear jabs. The reason Hatton won the fight was that he was more patience against a quick boxer and always his jab it was quite impressive. His combination work has improved. If my memory serves me correct Hatton was going to throw a jab Paulie ducked he turned his punch and connected sweetly on Paulie’s chin.

I don’t he would have won under his old trainer. Also Hatton is actually using his hand speed which is underrated IMO

Also Paulie trying to fight like Mayweather failed. Jab and hold. Low hands looking for left check hool

Hatton held less but it was still the same Hatton for the most part. Hardly any combinations and jabs. He got most of his work in on clinches. Paulie didn't fight the right way. Smothered himself by holding too much and didn't jab enough or get off with any right hands.

I think Hatton would have won anyway, but he won more easily because he's learning from Mayweather.

Ricky seems to be undergoing a kind of renaissance working with Floyd Sr. He hadn't learned anything new for many years with Graham, so it was a smart career move to hire Floyd Sr.

I think he would have won with Graham, but he has definitely improved with Mayweather Sr.

To be honest, i didnt see much difference in his fighting style. He's still the same old Hatton. As Lampley put it that night...."I dont know if Floyd Sr is helping Hattons cause, but he certaintly isnt hurting it"

I'm not sure what everyone was expecting. He was just there to tweak some things, not to make him a whole 'nother fighter. I saw some improvement though he did revert back to some of his bad habits at certain points. At any rate I think he was better off with Mayweather Sr.
