I still want to see Cotto-Mayweather. I feel like time saved Floyd, he let these guys beat eachother up and on thier own form this cloud over something that was VERY real. there was a HUGE demand for Cotto-Mayweather and he never gave it to us, the fans who give him all that money he be flossing and bragging about.. see I can understand not fighting Tony, at the time people wanted Cotto-Mayweather Tony had lost to Williams and he really didn't have any relevant Welterweight key names besides Kermit Cintron and Hercules Kyvelos so until that point I understand he needs to do more to earn that chance but Cotto? Cotto was supposed to go straight from Mosley to Mayweather and Floyd didn't do it.

I feel like he punked out the fight, like he knew what he was in for and he just blamed it on money to avoid his true biggest threat. the one guy who can stand there and find him, pound on him like no one else and who has the skills to not allow him to just pot shot all night.. it's easy to from afar say this and that about a man, Mayweather says Cotto isn't a big enough draw and that he don't generate enough revenue, he says this because he KNOWS what Cotto can do and the amount isn't worth the risk for him. he asks for an impossible number and stands firm behind that knowing no fight will come out of all this talking, the whole time he stays popular and just waits around until Cotto, a brave and fearless mega champion fights the wrong man and losses allto say "see, I told you so"..

it's a ***** move IMO and I don't think I can ever respect it. if you truly feel Cotto was so vulnerable with his style you would have jumped on him sooner so YOU can be the one to expose whatever you were saying about him you don't prolong your title reign by not fighting no one after fighting a smaller and FAR FAR less skilled fighter than BOTH you AND Cotto in Ricky Hatton, you don't take the safer bets if you are truly a warrior. Floyd lost his heart, he sold out for money, he is no longer the same man who defeated Diego Corrales (R.I.P) in terms of pride for this sport. after Gatti whom was also HIGHLY outmatched Floyd just kept fighting guys who were WAY out of his league but held names of thier own from times when there were still good in some way.

Cotto-Mayweather should happen regardless of whatever Cotto is doing because Floyd owed it to his fans man, they were demanding it and he just fell back on it until someone else came and beat him, the whole time he's just running his mouth, no desire to be the one to defeat these guys and take away any excuse the people would have for degrading his name. it could have been just Cotto man, he could have JUST fought Cotto after Cotto saved him from talks of Shane who also would have beat him, had he done that it would still be fishy but I could have respected it more because fan wise he took the most appealing fight and he would have pleased the world, instead he takes on a man 5 years past his prime and barely wins and then takes on the Champion of a SMALLER weight class, he did what Oscar is doing RIGHT NOW with Manny and got praised for it, no respect for that bull**** here..

If Pacquiao beats DLH I guarantee you Floyd will come out of retirement to try to fight him..

Although Hatton vs Cotto would be a "must see" fight like Hatton/Mayweather was, I wouldn't expect it to be competitive. Hatton is just too short and his arms are too stubby to compete at 147. I hope we can see Hatton vs Pacquiao right after the DLH fight so that Hatton can still make 140 by then.

I think Pacquiao vs Floyd would make more money sense. And Cotto vs hatton at MSG would be a great atmosphere.Cottos fans vs Brits. I think a couple of fight would break out in the stands!! And Margarito vs DLh on 5 de Mayo weekend could be electrifyng at the Home depot center!!
