What About Chad Dawson, Paul Williams, Glen Johnson, Sam Peter,And heres what i think when i think of the black fighter. A fighter who will box and run if he has too. Few Jeff Lacys left in black boxing and im talking about him in his prime. No more Haglers, Armstrong, Foreman, Fraziers.
Most blacks today think they all are Roy Jones and try not to get hit. They try to stay pretty like Ali, lol, excpet that Ali gave you entertainment not just hit and run. The black boxer in todays boxing world is a boxer(as in style) they try to be flashy and they try too hard not to be made a fool in the ring.
Andre Berto,Jermaine Taylor,James Kirkland, Vernon Forrest, Shane Mosley,
Kendall Holt,Nate Campbell, none of those guys fit the description you are laying out.
?????
So why dont you name who are you talking about?Comment

I dare you to count Whitikers illegal blows vs. Chavez.
Whitker was beat twice by Wilfredo Rivera too bad he was robbed twice.
Who was around in Tysons prime era?Comment

No one at all. He cleaned up the division and is the youngest HW of all time. Why JCC is the guy who Pernell destroyed yet he thought he done enough to earn a draw
Just like Margarito thinking he beat Williams

Seems to me as if most blacks expect/prefer thier black fighters to be defensive, elusive, hit and run type of fighters, rather than fighters who step in the ring with the intentions of destroying and taking thier opponents out.
Instead of wanting to see thier fighters inflict damage, they prefer to see thier fighter/s avoid damage, while in return, potshotting and moving to a technical 12round decision victory
Now this does not apply to all black boxing fans, but it does apply to most black fans on this forum.Comment

Out of all those fighters you mentioned im only a fan of Andre Berto I don't care for and most fit that statement i made. I've seen Mosley run from Antonio Diaz, Oscar Delahoya, Raul Marquez, just to name a few. I would of named better fighters then those that you named. What About Chad Dawson, Paul Williams, Glen Johnson, Sam Peter,
Andre Berto,Jermaine Taylor,James Kirkland, Vernon Forrest, Shane Mosley,
Kendall Holt,Nate Campbell, none of those guys fit the description you are laying out.
