I think he's multi-national. We can't really claim him as our own, I'd say Canada deserves alot of credit for what he acheived in the early days, building the foundations, and it's not like much changed when he came over to Britain. The only thing really British was his promoter. He had American trainers and a Jamaican entourage so you work it out. In my opinion Lennox Lewis cannot be used in an arguement in favour of Britain's fighters.
I do not class Lennox Lewis as British.

I understand what you are saying and think it can be true based on whose interpreting it.
I've always joked that Lewis was born in England but hit puberty/balls dropped in America {Canada}.
He's as British as the Ford GT is American.
Not sure on what car to use since I'm unsure about the details with Aston Martin, Jaguar, Rolls, Lotus, etc.
British heritage, but are all the parts still british?
I think of him as a World Citizen.Last edited by Benny Leonard; 11-23-2008, 03:28 PM.Comment

HELL NO.
Lewis doesn't bow for some "Queen."
When Lennox Lewis is in England there is only ONE KING: KING LENNOX.
Lennox earned his title...I can't say the same with the "Queen."
Actually, Lennox used to call himself the "Emperor"
Emperor is different than "King" in titles and meaning. It's why Napoleon took the title of Emperor and not King.Last edited by Benny Leonard; 11-23-2008, 03:32 PM.Comment
