Morales was past it because his only losses going into that fight was against another legend. I didn't know that was a sign of being past it.

The jotos make it sound as if prime PAC would get ran over by the same Erika and MAB that fought each other, please. Prime PAC ko's any version of Erika and MAB PERIOD. You can have all the beautiful punches, all the ring intelligence, all the best trainers, the best nutrionist, the best looking jab, the best looking hooks/uppercuts. But if yo ass ain't faster than the opposition, you can't take the opposition's punches, then yo ass is losing. That's boxing at the end of the day folks.

LOL how did he lose to Erik then?

Erik was past it, because he didnt win a fight in years except against Pacman, -Raheem is a hell of a legend huh?- GET OVER IT

So boxing is speed and chin? power, smarts, skills dont count for ****, huh?

The first Barrera fight is Pac's best victory by a mile, and I am not going to take fancy credit away from that.

              damn he's at 146!

i wonder if he's draining himself to make weight. i hope not; otherwise its going to give pacman a pretty big advantage.

he'll probably put on 12lbs between the weigh in and the fight.

pacman might only put on 5-7lbs.

              should be a good fight.

To those questioning why DLH didn't do this previously to continue fighting at WW - just because one can potentially make weight doesn't mean one should do so. Hopkins showed prior to the DLH fight that it was physically possible for him to make 154 if he so desired, but it would be a brutal process taking a heavy toll on the body. Perhaps if DLH had the discipline of a Hopkins or a Hagler he could have plied his trade at 147 for the remainder of his career, but most fighters simply do not possess the motivation to do so. One should fight at the weight one can both be competitive at and at which one is comfortable, and for an older DLH that weight has become 154.

Once Oscar got to 154, he never really looked fit and trim, the way he used to at Welter. He left Welter to go to 154 and 160 to win titles in those divisions. He's not a natural sized 154 pounder, his best weight is Welter. Now, at the end of his career, he's talking about coming back down to where he was best as a fighter. Will age factor in, or will we see the Oscar of old? In that interview he even joked about dropping back down to 140, 135 and where it all started at 130lbs.
