Mayweather has very brittle hands as well (I know he is an elite fighter), but that is no excuse. I don't know if there is ANY athlete that is 100% everytime they play their sport. I played football and that is true. If you are too hurt to perform, then don't. But don't perform, then lose and make an excuse afterwards.

yeah, but it's unfair to compare paulie to a great fighter like floyd.

sports like football are team sports.

And we don't know the extent of the broken hands on calzaghe, and floyd compared to paulies.

Watch his first fight with Lovemore N'Dou, June 1997. Paulie seemed to be a highly skilled fighter in that one, winning every round and even knocking down his opponent.

It's not easy to look good against Ricky Hatton.

I thought he was pretty good before yesterday. He was tested at the top level and failed miserably. He's just a decent boxer, nothin A class.

Paulie is a good fighter, when he moves and throws mass combos, hes not a good when he stands right in front of people like he did against hatton and against n'dou II but when he moves around and throws combos and starts working the jab hes a good fighter

paulie is a very good fighter. his lack of power is something that prevents him inmediately on being a top class fighter, cos at that level you need at least something or else happens what we saw.
also i dont know were the paulie against ndou I went. after that his performances have ****** a lot, and its a shame cos that malignaggi was really amazing.
and last the thing that made malignaggi look like **** was that hatton was slipping through all his jabs. his only weapon was not landing, and with that taken away there is simply not much that he can do, cos he doesn't have more tools. with that he realized that there wasn't much to do, so he just wanted to went to distance.

on skills pauile is not overrated, cos he has amazing skills, but boxing is much more than that, and he doesn't have much more than that.
im dissapointed with this fight, but still hope we can see again the malignaggi against ndou, so ill still be supporting paulie.

No, he isn't a good fighter. It's not only his lack of power. He has no defense at all, no real skills and is holding the whole fight because he can't fight inside. He impressed me in the Cotto fight but is was an one-hit-wonder. The first N'dou-fight Lovemore had a terrible tactic. He changed it and in my book beat Paulie the second time.
Paulie is overrated becuase he is a good trash-talker and an American. If he was one of these ugly russians who can't speak english, he would be known for being a bum. Paulie should fight on ESPN, where he belongs.
I'm not hating because i think beside the trash-talking and acting like an ass Paulie is a good guy, but not every boxer has the tools to be a real good boxer.
