BUT its easy to bully a guy who throws almost exclusivly with the left and carries no power.

Mallinaggi i have felt has been over rated for some time and Hattons so called decline over exaggerated
Only a few fighters can beat Ricky at all and i don't think NO ONE can beat him at 140. But still and i quote: "What kind of champion would i be if i didn't take challenges and moved up to take them?"
You gotta love Hatton for this. He's really making a typical british career look greater and greater. Paulie was the man to beat at 140. True he doesn't have power but he does have skills and was the legit champion. All credit to him. And no, i'm not a fan of his but i respect him and that accomplishment.

Wasn't Paulie one of the highest ranked @ 140? That was an easy fight which Hatton dominated and ppl still aint impressed. What does it take?!

Mallinaggi was a top 10 fighter but id give Witter who Hatton Shamelessly ducked, Bradley, Torres and mabey a few others a better chance against Hatton a Ricky win was so predictable.

But yeah Props for steppin up to the plate against the bigger guys.

Im a big Hatton fan by the way went to the Tszyu fight and the Maussa fight and the Mayweather build up and fight is one of my fondest boxing memorys!

Ricky i think is the best at 140, but he aint able to bully and manhandle the guys at 147 which hurts him up there

            I was pretty impressed.

Hatton showed a few improvements for example he paced himself better and didn't just rush in like before. He still has a few more things to work on but so far he is looking good.

Paulie is a good boxer who is tough.

Hatton basically took the fight out of him. It was as soon as he hurt him he quit.

Hatton didn't "outbox" Malignaggi. But he boxed reasonably well facing a guy who looked intent on surviving the last few rounds.

I thought that PM was overrated too, but Hatton looked great, and I believe that with a fair and competent referee in there, like the guy last night, instead of an incompetent bent ******* like Cortez, and looking like he did last night, he would beat up on Mayweather in a rematch.
