Kirkland its exciting to watch, and always will be..
Make NO mistake, I'm not hating, but he willget exposed against a guy like Forrest, or Martinez..

I love to see the guy fight, hes ferocious, but he is very flawed
Hes open for right hand counters, an he is a hooker..
Not many str8 punches, which is bad news
    His chin, is OK..
He needs to stay at 154, and not go up to middle or its good bye..

Kirkland is good, I think he will keep shining for a while until he runs into the elite fighters of his division. it isn't so much that he doesn't belong with them it's just they are more fluent and finessed fighters, unless he catches them with a bomb he'll have trouble because you can see that good movement will **** him up. he IS open to get hit so homeboy hit that spot on, the way he comes in might find him running into a shot instead of giving one..

as long as the fight is not draining his stamina he's okay, he will be EXPLOSIVE until that point comes but once it does he will dramatically decrease his output and just do it in combinations, I noticed against Vera he was slowing down and then out of nowhere he would just explode with a crazy combination that hurted Vera but Vera was there the whole time. I can't tell if it's just that Vera has a good chin or if Kirkland's power is just accumilative but it didn't seem he was blowing away Vera when he hit him u know and his stamina was going down like crazy.

I just can imagine what happens when he is in there with a Daniel Santos, Vernon Forrest or Sergio Martinez u know? punchers who can **** but are also smart enough to work behind a plan, fighters who can drag a fight the whole 12 ya dig, once he gets a REAL test to his stamina against a guy who can tie his hands up in close while attacking the body and keeping it on the outside every other moment in the fight. even Sergio Mora can give this kid trouble due to his skills. he just doesn't show nothing but raw power and to make it to the top you need more than that, very few have done it without and they don't last long, he can win a belt doing that **** but not against someone who can truly dissect an opponent and adapt, and Paul Williams? just look the other way Kirk.. I approve of him, he gets my thumbs up as an exciting fighter but he IS limited and needs to work on his basics a bit more

            He's great to watch.

I simply can not believe Andy Lee lost to Vera.........jesus H Christ.

Kirkland is another guy in the Haye and Herbie Hide mould. Someone is bound to have his number.

Vera has a great chin but remember he also came in over 170 pounds. I think that had something to do with him staying up as long as he did as well.

I don't think that was Kirkland's best performance either, he looked a bit sluggish at times but he did demonstrate his power. He also showed us that he still has a lot of learning to do, leaves himself wide open too much. But he's a great prospect, one of my personal favorites and love to watch him fight.

I watched that bout out of interest in Kirkland, but the lasting thought at the end was how tough Vera was…as unskilled and sloppy as one pro-fighter can be, the only reason he lasted that long was because that dude is one tough SOB

It was weird it was because he got hit with so many massive shots, the next one was no different from the other so it wouldn't put him down.

In a British ring that fight would have been stopped wayyyyyyyyyyyyy earlier. Rightly or wrongly.
