am i the only one that thinks Hatton still leaves himself open

am i the only one that thinks Hatton still leaves himself open ?it looked to me like he can still be timed when he is coming in,he was a little more patient and used the jab better but apart from that he was still telegraphing a lot of his shots

a good puncher will still hurt Hatton infact a good body puncher would seriously hurt him IMO Lazcano and Urango proved he cannot take it in the gut

im not being a hater its just the overeacting being done on here is laughable

you boy David "Glass Chin" Haye leaves himself open and is susceptible to right hands.

Make a thread about Hypejob Haye's **** defence.

No you're not the only one - Hatton relies on his good foot and handspeed to land before he gets clocked though, he's always going to be open. There's no doubt that he wold have trouble with a more complete fighter than paulie M.

Gotta be impressed with Hattons footwork though, he's so quick at closing the distance, which is a good job considering his t-rex arms.

Did anyone really expect a massive difference? I think he showed some improvements and it didn't seem to ruin his style or flow, slow him down. So it has to be a good thing. He avoided enough shots to not allow Paulie to land significant numbers of shots to win rounds. But he also didn't respect his power so probably took more from him having to stream roll in to get a little closer. Might not see that so much with somone he knows can hurt him more, and once Mayweathers done more with him. Like Mr M Snr. says, Rome wasn't built in a day.

Perhaps because he's just sooooooo pale, white?

I jest. I don't think people are exaggerating his performance either though, not seen many posts saying they were very impressed or anything. He still loses to Pac or Floyd for me.

this is true but Haye is exciting as hell to watch cause he can punch like hell and he can always get dropped himself

When Paulie concentrated on his jab he caught Hatton pretty much at will. With a bit more snap he would have made a mess out of Ricky's face.

Ricky is still too, too easy coming in. As for those wild, lunging hooks - he's just lucky there aren't too many fighters in the division capable of exploiting them with the kind of ruthless efficiency of Floyd.

But still, there was a significant improvement over his performance in the Lazcano fight. On that night he was easier to tag than a house.

He does but he didn't have to pay for it against Malignaggi.

Like Hatton said, it's a work in progress. He will never be a defensive fighter but he can still improve. I was most impressed by his use of the jab.

Fortunately for him there aren't any great punchers around his weight class except maybe Torres who is just as suspect himself.

                  some great points by all

i understand what you are saying aswell Kris,Hatton may have taken more chances cause he knew Paulie could not hurt him and that in turn could of left him more suspect defensively cause he was taking more and more chances as his confidence grew
