Well let's see what Bradley does. I still think he has some things to tweak but, so far, I'm very impressed. I've been touting him ever since he battered Garnica but there are flaws a vet like Hatton could exploit. Still, I give him a great chance at the upset.
Hatton's only after mega fights now and Pacquiao or DLH is where the money is at. Let Torres, Holt and Bradley fight it out and the winner take on Hatton sometime in 2009.
i think dlh/hatton is a guaranteed loss for hatton. pac is a guaranteed win for hatton. i'm ok w/ bradly/holt/toress battling it out, but right now bradley is hatton #1 contender.

Maybe. We have no idea whether he is overrated, or not. But the fact is he has fought nobody (FFS, Junior Witter?), so we just don't know. The odds are, just as with any up-and-coming fighter, 'champion' or not, he will fall at the final hurdle when he comes up against an elite fighter which, however much the haters may deny it, Hatton certainly is. Just like Lacy did. Just like Pavlik did. Just like Malignaggi did. And just like Chad Dawson may well do if Calzaghe gives him the chance... although his wins over an aging Tarver and Johnson give him a little more credibility.
Sure, some may think Bradley will beat Hatton.. such amateur punditry is what boards like this are about. But it's hot air and wishful thinking, no more. I'm amazed anybody has the balls to play the "clash of styles" card after last night.. when the difference in class is that great (and remember, most of those now dredging up Bradley as the next great hope were claiming Paulie was favorite) 'style' doesn't matter a damn.
Bradley is several fights away from even having a decent claim to be in the same ring as Hatton, by which time Hatton probably will have retired. If Bradley proves himself as a real top p4p contender good luck to him, but he'll have to do it against somebody else. Ricky just has no reason to fight him, his profile doesn't seem huge in the US and it's non-existent in the UK. Hatton will get no credit for beating him. DLH, though... different world completely both in kudos and cash.

Bradley should give Witter a rematch, Witter did'nt train properly for that fight because he found out his father had cancer during training.
