I'm baffled that a good performance by Hatton warrants him having a chance with Cotto. Especially at 147 since Hatton said he'd have to move up to fight the best. To me there is such a skill disparity that I believe Hatton stands no chance. Cotto's left jab would be a serious weapon and the body attack I believe would overwhelm him. Not to mention that Cotto is stronger. I watched Hatton tonight show a slight improvement. But then I go back and think about the boxing exhibition Cotto put on in the Margarito fight. He showed his beard was up to par and an array of great combinations.
Do we agree right now at 147 Hatton gets destroyed by Cotto?

Miguel Cotto beats Ricky Hatton at 147...as much as cotto has grown as a fighter if he could make 140 still i'd even say he beats him at 140...
just take a look at the cotto who fought margarito...
he was the full package in that fight...i never seen cotto box with that much skill before...at the end of the second round he even went as far as to pull (what i like to call) a "roy jones jr" on margarito.
cotto can slug and he can box...ricky wouldnt stand up to the punches from cotto as well as margarito did...
Miguel Cotto 11th round KO/TKO.Comment

didnt cotto fight mayweather's opposition many years AFTER mayweather had already beaten them? the only exception being judah? i think cotto would have a life and death stuggle with hatton and wouldnt be surprised if he lostComment

Cotto win
Cotto way too strong at 147 Hatton is a 140 fighter not a hope Hatton would beat Cotto at 147 like the other times Hattons moved up to 147 i mean he was lucky to get D against Collazo maybe Collazo should have gotten a draw & keeped his title but who knows the powers in boxing made sure Hatton won becayse his more marketable

So was Hatton destroyed by Floyd JR so it shouldn't make much difference only Cotto needs to have a good comeback get his confidence up there's no reason why either would be at there best in mind & bodyComment
