i think to suggest this is going a little far . . . but it was a great win but cottos left wpuld be the deciding factor if they were to ever meet up.

hattons still too open for the left . . . cotto >>>> hatton

          Yeah. I see that.

But anyways yes I'm not going to defend someone who claims that Hatton would in fact stop or even beat Cotto at 147, and It's also clear that Cotto would never move back down to 140.

I was merely pointing out that at 140 he's in my mind the much better fighter and in fact would knock Cotto out, the same goes given they fought back when the fight would have been more meaningful.

The problem here is most people don't see how weight affects fighters.

It does. 5 pounds makes a world of difference.

compare paulies face after both fights.
You're getting mixed up, I'm talking boxing, not America's Next Top Model.

Paulie would have went 12 in this fight too if it hadn't been for Buddy.
The point is that someone was responding to the comparison by saying that Paulie could have gone 12 rounds tonight. It is potentially true, but he also went 12 rounds against Cotto so it wasn't worth mentioning.

Dude look what Torres did to him, lul.

At 140 Hatton is a rock and it's impossible to hurt him.
Impossible to hurt? Magee hurt him in the 2nd and 12th rounds after dropping him in the 1st. Phillips hurt him in the 4th with a right hand and uppercut. Urango hurt him with body shots in the 5th round of their fight. Hell, Juan Lazcano hurt him with a left hook in his last fight.

Hatton may be an all around better fighter than Torres, but he doesn't have as much power.

At 130 Cotto destroys Hatton. Fans like you who jump on the latest bandwagons are funny. Let's not get foolish. No version of Hatton can beat Cotto. He knows it too.
