Very good fight for Hatton he wasnt comming head first eating punches like he did his past 2 fights. He had quick feet, he was patient,he had pretty good head movement, he ate a couple of jabs and left hooks, but that was nothing. At the same time I think Malignaggie could off finish the fight, he wasnt hurt that bad and even he said he was more hurt against Cotto. Mcgirt just looked ****** trowing the towel in, even Hatton sad it was a bit premature. But hatton did a good job putting agresive effective presure without getting reckless. Good job from hatton!!!!! He deserved to win!!!!! I hope that Pacman beats DLH(wich I dont think will actually happend) and set up a fight with hatton.

hatton looked decent not good, his style and pauli's compensation of not having a powerful punch put him in good position for hatton to come in and box and not throw loopy punches to try and knock him out in which he's prone to do. give hatton more training with floyd senior and you will see more a difference of a fighter, a brawler with some defense and some patience and he causes problems with the best and for him to be the best- there's only one ricky hatton+a man for the common man

if u know boxing and if u know ricky hatton it wasnt the same ol' ricky hatton as okampo 542whatever might have suggested, hatton a more disciplined boxer who set up hit punches than pauli, bad right my ass if that's the case he's in it for the money and judging by mcgirt's towel it wasnt, pauli a fighter for the cause not the money, he was up for is dignity not the payday he's was out to see who is the alpha male in his weight class- only ricky hatton=boxing needs him

People who r complaining about the stoppage r the same people who complain about the safety of boxing when someone gets hurt. Buddy made a good decision by throwing in the towel. Paulie didn't like the decision but most boxers have a big heart and as long as they can stay standing they will. Paulie shouldnt have to take punishment until he gets knocked out cold and have to be carried away in a stretcher. We already saw that happening and wouldn't want to see it again. Why should a fighter take useless punishment if there is no chance of him winning the fight.
