POPS- Lewis may have finally spoken; but he's "finally" spoken a few times before, more than a few I think. In fact on other occasions he floated the possible and visible real (at the time of speaking anyway) chance of him returning. I recall at least one time when he actually said that he was seriously considering returning and had been back in the gym. I heard no more about it for a long while, so assumed that he's found it too much for him.

Likely that this time was much of the same, impelled by the ghuge effectr on boxing , that Klitschko's 4 yerar hiatus and then return to knock off the WBC Champ in a straight in no tune-up fight, which showed that he'd lost very little. Maybe only a liottle strength which prevented him from holding his hands up above his knees.

I think that it was it was about his old belt, the WBC Belt thing which drove Lewis deeper into chasing the adulation he loves so much, and incautiously led him into the publicity inept errors he made, by, for example showing, by his latest "most final" statement, in which he shows temper and malice. brought on I strongly believe, by the fact that he had allowed himself to be manoeuvred into a corner.

So NOW at LAST, I sincerely believe that we have heard the final edition of Lewis's "return".

Almost as humourous as "Slattery's Mounted Fut".........

Maybe it is crazy, and he knows it, but to a guy with his enormous ego, far greater than that of Naz for instance, nothing is really crazy. In his heart he knows he's WORTH it, buy he also knows that the ignorant worker ants would never concede this worth.

Why he even gets his plug in that he's "the last of the Great Heavyweights......"

            Oh Well....

I don't really go for this "Lineal Heavyweight" stuff. After all, it brought Shannon Briggs to that sultry shore. And there are a few others I could name besides Carlos Baldomir.
The fans, apart from a few rival claims, nearly all with some merit, know what's what, and who's who.

Just for info., what were the 2 times, I know of one short one, of a few months, just less than a year, I think, during which he had no fights. Never noticed the other; my error.
