I think Cottos problems will be more metal than anything else, how will he take being bullied when he is meant to be a bully? He may lose something mentally from that.

As for Margarito, he just keeps taking punches and never seems effected. Something has to give, doesn't it?

They might not be the same again, but if they are the same or even better then they were... I'd probably go with Cotto by decision in the rematch. Cotto punches hard but Margarito ignores pain and I don't think anyone stops Margarito ever.

Sooner or later, all that punishment will come back to haunt him... **** it might be haunting him right now.

Those are the fights that make boxing tho!..

When I watch Hatton (clinching) or Ivan Calderon (pot-shotting) and sometimes Mayweather..and there's is an excessive amount of avoiding the fight that has made boxing have it's dull moments..

Along with the fact that Boxers now forget about pride and honor and base their careers on only the money aspect of it..the person I never would have thought would be overpricing themselves [Margarito] did..

I just hope fights like this keep happening!

It was a very brutal fight. I wonder if people really realize how much punishment Margarito walked through in order to earn his victory. In turn, he really busted up Cotto too.

Hell of a fight though. I think both guys will recover alright from it, but I'm sure they don't want to get into too many of those types of fights again (especially Miguelito).

best welterweight fight in the history of boxing.
I didn't think Cotto would be the same after that night but more and more I'm starting to think that both him and Margarito were mentally scarred. Neither have stepped into the ring and Margarito is turning down possible opponents left and right. This might have been their Corrales-Castillo or their Gatti-Ward, they may never recover.
