Im not giving my opinion on here but let me say this I think many people on here may have never seen Henry Cooper etc old fighters fight and really cant tell if their are good or brilliant but go by it becuase AT that time they were the best around.

Boxing evolves and think people need to realise that fighters these day CAN ACTUALLY beat fighters from latter decades.

Just keep an open mind.

Exactly, Joe Calzaghe is 6 foot and Cooper was also around the same size.
Cooper managed to knock Ali down and Joe Calzaghe is in another league compared to Henry.

joe's a great fighter don't get me wrong but he's wins bigger agaisnt come forward guys.

Ali is a counter attacking boxer more in the hopkins mode but quicker, more variety and powerful and had a bigger punch than hopkins, added to the fact that he was like calazage and hopkins great thinkers. Just too many weapons for joe, i could just see it going like the foreman fight

This is the Dumbest thread ever. Joe wouldn't stand a chance. Ali is the GREATEST OF ALL TIME in a lot of peoples eyes. and Joe isn't even Considered in the top 50 greatest of all time. People who think Joe could knock him out must be joking. he couldn't even knock out Glass chin Jones Jr. Ali never been knocked out in his career and he has fought the bigger stronger fighters. He fought big punchers like Foreman, Frazier, Liston, etc. Calzaghe doesn't have a resume near Ali's or the others that you mentioned.
