the general american public don't care for boxing, but the u.s. boxing fans probably don't care because ricky's fans provide an awesome fight enviornment.
do americans hate Hatton fans?

I think on the whole we like them. I mean there was some bad blood from the ****** nationalistic American crowd when the national anthem was boo'd, but it blew over. Overall when the Hattonites come over it is a fun diversion. It is like going back to high school for a weekend. A bunch of drunken idiots run the place and you have fun with them for a while. I think it is better than high school though. The drunks go away eventually.Comment

aside the booing the anthem thingy (which is a 25+ page thread on its own), i LOVE hatton fans
they bring the noise and that's how i like to see the sport being represented...its EXACTLY how i want the casual or even those that dont know about boxing to view the sport...as something that is worth cheering for..
Hatton, Cotto in NY, any mexican fighter in LA or Vegas...when they fight, especially in a big fight, i love the electricityComment

A lot of Americans are Hatton fans themselves. But as a whole, I like 'em. I'd love to experience fight night in that type of atmosphere.
Booing the anthem showed a lack of class. But what do you expect from a bunch of drunks?Comment

that might not mean anything to you playa and that's fine...the anthem and flag allows you that freedom to think, feel, and say whatever you want...but to some, it does serve as a valuable symbol...and their opinions should be respected as much as yours
its not necessary to show that kind of disrespect...not for a boxing match...Comment
