I don't blame him for playing hardball in negotiations. Really.
He has been fighting pro fights since the age of what, 16? He does indeed deserve some big paydays for what he has given us.
But I have a feeling that the Cotto fight took more out of him then some realize.
I'm not one of the guys saying he is "ducking" Mosley. But he needs to take this fight.
I have a feeling that if he doesn't, he will regret it.
He doesn't want to fight Clottey again. And he sure as hell doesn't want to go another 12 with that skinny dude that has an unfair advantage.
Take the Mosley fight, then fight Cotto, Margarito. A favorite of mine, no bull****. Great heart, will, chin, stamina, and what I call the Pitbull factor.
But the time is ticking....

If he stays idle until the Cotto rematch, and than loses the Cotto rematch, he's in trouble. Part of me thinks they'd have a 3rd fight, but considering the punishment each would take, and the likelihood of Arum not wanting to risk Cotto losing again, I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't happen. His attitude would still be the same, especially if he lost a remotely controversial decision, and it'd be hard for him to get a fight. I really think taking this Mosley fight is important to his career for the long term.

Saves me the hassle of going through threads and trying to decipher the posters who aren't dominated by bias and agendas from those who are. They're quite rare.

That said, I think he should take 50/50. If he wins, he won't have to take 50/50 again (until he loses). Is it even about the money, or more about the ego of being paid the same as Shane?

he's just getting back at Oscar for ducking him. I do trhink that Marg does beat Mosley at this point, so why not take the fight? Is Jan 24 too soon to start camp right now for?
