Why doesn't margaritto just man up and fight at a higher weight class

seriously he is 5"11 and has a muscular type of body, he doesn't belong in welter. He should man up and move to middleweight and stop picking on lil kids

It's easier to pick on smaller guys those.

If you can make weight, so be it. Although, I think there should be a rule on how much weight you are allowed to gain by fight time...or a huge penalty should be taken with each pond over that "certain" weight limit.

Yes but that wouldn't be fair. Fighters in the past were able to do it so we should stick to it...or we'd lose having to compare current fighters with fighters from the past.

Thank you for saying this. I've been thinking that for a long time. Margarito should be fighting at 154, minimum.

bad argument, by that logic we should bring back smaller gloves and 40+ round fights like in the old days

It would be like if De La Hoya was fighting at lightweight all these years. Margarito isn't proving that he's a P4P fighter by staying at welter. Look at the P4P list, almost all these guys move up in weight to prove themselves.
