You act like he was ko'd
He lost a very close decision in Santos backyard, Cotto would have to cut off one of his legs to make 140 again.Comment

Context
The WW Division
Cotto's: 2nd Division
Margarito's: 2nd Division
Shane Mosley: 3rd Division
Andre Berto: 2nd Division
Joshua Clottey:2nd Division
Kermit Cintron: 1st Division
Paul Williams:2nd Division
CarlosQuintana:1st Division
As of now, no body has a real advantage at WW...
because it is basically all their 1st or 2nd division.Comment

But going by that logic I dont even know why we have even have weigh in's in boxing.because if a life long Middleweight could make 147 for one day which is only a 13 pounds to lose he can now say he is a WW, and fight against Naturally smaller fighters. Instead of fighters his own size. and Bully a whole division...Which is not right. from a competitive stand point
It cannot be healthy to lose 20 plus pounds for an official weigh-in and then gain almost 20 pounds before stepping between the ropes.
I talk about this about this before with Cotto..
We all know that Miguel Cotto drained himself to make weight for the welther weight division....he has been doing this for years he even did it at 140, when He entered the ring weighing 157-pounds, making him a Jr. Middleweight defending his Jr. Welterweight Title over his 140-pound challenger, DeMarcus Corley.
You have to wonder how fighters who do this would fare against contenders who enter the ring weighing 154 or more, like some fighters in the WW division do all the time.
Without rules, where's the legitimacy?Comment
